DAMMAM — Al-Ettifaq continued its winning streak in the Saudi Pro League with a 2-1 victory over Al-Fateh in the third round, securing a perfect record with nine points.
The young striker Abdullah Radeef marked his debut for Al-Ettifaq by scoring the first goal in the first half. Al-Fateh’s Djaniny Tavares equalized early in the second half, but Brazilian João Costa scored the decisive goal for Al-Ettifaq in the 73rd minute.
With this win, Al-Ettifaq has accumulated nine points after also defeating Al-Shabab and Al-Okhdood in the first two rounds, while Al-Fateh remains at three points following its second loss of the season.
In Al-Majma’a, Al-Raed secured a resounding 5-0 victory over Al-Fayha, marking its first win of the season.
The goals for Al-Raed were scored by Al-Fayha’s defender Smalling, who accidentally put the ball into his own net, as well as Karim Al-Barkawi with two goals, and Mohamed Fouzair and Saleh Al-Omri each with one goal.
